Testimonials
Here is my story about my experience as a professor at ESAD, College of Art and Design of Oporto.
Thanks to the Erasmus scholarship, I was able to speak to professors in Portugal about topics related to the course I teach at IED. It's surprising to find so many differences in countries so close to us. They may have less influence in the comic world but; nevertheless, have a strong trajectory and developed narrative in illustration albums. Many of their courses are focused on the sequential drawing discipline.
During the three days, I was able to become familiar with the school, work with students and other Erasmus professors who I coincided with. I was grateful to visit the city not as a tourist. In the Faculty of Fine Arts, I met more illustration profesores and they showed me places in the city focused on drawing such as the gallery of Senhora Presidenta, where they share a workspace between professors and students. I recommend this experience to my fellow professors both a professional and personal level. It is an exchange of knowledge and a way to make new contacts.

My weeklong stay in Helsinki, visiting the prestigious Aalto University, has helped me to understand the organization of a large campus where very different academic disciplines converge. The week was full of conferences and seminars, resulting in a profuse investigation and publication that is encouraged from Aalto. At the same time, I had the opportunity to explore the Design Factory which has been the reference for many multidisciplinary platforms in the world including the young Fusion Point in which IED participants.
