From 24 to 29 January, fashion concentrates its gaze on the city of Madrid. Another Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week will display the trends by consecrated designers and young promises from the sector at IFEMA, although also at other emblematic places such as the Railway Museum, the Royal Academy of San Fernando, Atocha Station Tropical Garden and the Royal Post Office, among others.

Two young talents trained at IED Madrid have carved out a place at the 67th edition of the Madrid show and the 80th in Barcelona.
Christian Simmon presents his first collection at the MBFW on Monday 29 January, at the Samsung EGO. Inspired by the sales concept, his garments evolve from cotton T-shirts to dresses and corsets, until appearing in fully unconnected blocks.
The firm Oteyza, that teaches the One year course in Tailoring, has joined the fashion festival for the first time. The proposals by the creative tandem will appear on the Matadero catwalk in Madrid on Wednesday 24th.
The most sustainable part of fashion · Ecoembes
Ecoembes is to provide a theme space on sustainable fashion to make us reflect on taking advantage of material resources in the fashion world. That is where you will be able to see the part of the collection developed by Carmen Alonso, Lucía Sol and Claudia Alonso, students of the Degree Course in Fashion Design.
A Dress with Desigual
The fashion brand Desigual invites us to reflect on what fashion has become through professionals and experts from the sector, based on four concepts: history of fashion, branding and brand identity, crafts and recycling.
Rocío Ortiz de Bethencourt, Director of IED Fashion Madrid, will direct the debate “Fashion trades” (Saturday 27 at 11:45 h). Moreover, Federico Antelo (teacher at IED Madrid) will participate as a speaker at the workshops and Jon Elorrieta and Elena Vilabrille (teachers at IED Fashion Madrid) along with the artist Coco Dávez, will conduct a workshop on branding. Former student and designer Rubén Gómez will teach a workshop on “second life for things”.
The events will be held at the Cibelespacio of the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, Madrid, on January 25, 26, 27 and 29.
