European Master of Fine Art Photography

European Master of Fine Art Photography. Practical and innovative, the only Master’s of Photography with professors who are the best photographers in Europe.

The European Master of Fine Art Photography is based on three fundamental concepts:

  • Its international nature, with a special focus on the European environment.
  • The excellence of its professors
  • Its orientation towards artistic projects

The program methodology is mainly based on workshops with advanced level artists and theorists. The workshops last anywhere from one to eight days, with a weekly or twice a month frequency. As well, there are group and individual projects, tutorials and visits to companies and studios, etc.

The Master’s proposal is based on the premise that there is a conceptual, European creative identity, which is and must be a primordial reference point in terms of academics, culture, and the art market. The proposal is not, however, closed, but rather, as everything European, it is an open invitation to diversity and exchange. In this sense, the participation of students from other continents is especially interesting and enriching.

The European Master of Fine Art Photography is a unique program, based on the excellence of its docents, which include people such as Martin Parr, Elger Esser, Joan Fontcuberta and Alejandro Castellote, to name a few.

Martin Parr, a documentary photographer, photojournalist and photobook collector at IED Madrid.
