Javier Jiménez Iniesta
Javier Jiménez Iniesta is an architect and since 2013 he has directed Studio Animal, a design studio based in Madrid and Barcelona specialising in interior design projects and ephemeral architecture. He combines his professional activity with teaching and academic research.
The work of Studio Animal has been catalogued in the biannual Arquia Próxima Awards and it has also been awarded several national and international awards, such as the Pasajes-Iguzzini Prize, the Fad Awards of Architecture and Interior Design (finalist and shortlisted), the ADG Laus Awards (Bronze) and the International Media Award in China (winner). The studio’s work has appeared in various specialised publications, such as OnDiseño, Frame, Detail, Abitare, Architectural Digest, Interiors, Proyecto Contract and Diseño Interior.
It has recently been included in the list of the best interior designers in Spain according to Architectural Digest magazine, and it is currently designing the new VIP Area of the Arco 2021 Fair.
Studio Animal tackles the development of proposals related to ultra-contemporary thinking and its relationship to the environment in which we live in. The redefinition of spaces and atmospheres that breathe is the backbone of its work; in pursuit of a super-optimistic future for the potential inhabitants of its architectural designs.
