    IED Diploma in Interactive Design and Creative Programming

    This Diploma in Interactive Design and Creative Programming prepares students in the field of new technologies such as user experience (UX), mixed reality (XR), smart materials and many other technologies linked to the development and manufacture of technological devices.

    Objectives

    The objective of the programme is to train professionals who are experts in creating, leading and managing creative and/or commercial projects and products. Through the use of the latest digital technologies, students will learn to link visual communication practices and contemporary culture with the needs of the entertainment industries, to propose institutional campaigns with the support of new languages, to design in an innovative way the launch of new products or business strategies, to generate digital products for different devices and to use the appropriate tools to develop events that are up to the complex challenges posed in contemporary communication. Students will also learn how to draw up a business strategy and what the best method is for disseminating a project in new media.

    Methodology

    The Diploma combines technological subjects such as creative electronics, digital manufacturing and creative programming with artistic subjects such as audiovisual and virtual language, contemporary art and trends in design, which allow students to approach projects from both perspectives.

    In addition, the Labs are an essential part of the training over the 3 years. Specialised laboratories in sound, virtual reality, augmented reality and artificial intelligence allow students to explore the relationship between design and new technologies.

    Projects:
    Each year students will develop an interactive product that addresses all the stages necessary to obtain a real product: creativity, design, prototyping, development, feasibility and communication.

    Internships

    The objective of doing an internship in all the courses offered at IED Madrid is to prepare students for the job market. Before starting, students will be given guidance and advice on the Undergraduate Degrees in Design, Higher Level Training Cycles, IED Diplomas, Master’s Degrees, Blended Master’s Degrees, Masters of Design and Innovation, Postgraduate Courses and alumni.

    This will also help companies select the professional profiles of our talents in all areas of design, communication and marketing. The services offered by IED include One to One sessions, meetings and/or events with companies and workshops to learn about how to use digital tools to perform a better job search.

    Career guidance talks are also organised with an external lawyer in order to offer more specific information to foreign students.
